Scientific Observations...

Wyatt to Miller "That's where people go to get married and then they die"
I'm not quite sure where that theory came from. He's 7 so in his mind death and marriage are related?
I ran a nice 5 miles this morning. I think I've reached a milestone...not feeling guilty for taking the time to run. I remember when I was little, my mom would run in the afternoons. I never thought how much I didn't want her to run. I always thought how strong she was and how when I got older I would run like her. It came to me that I'm actually instilling discipline and exercise into their lives and can't wait for Wyatt to be able to run with me in a few years.
After my morning run we headed out to Cypress Gardens. The weather is cool and the boys loved seeing the butterfly house, reptile exhibit, and paddling the canoe looking for alligators. Miller has been calling the butterfly house the "butterfly classroom" because he "wearned wots about butterfies there." 3 is great, I just hope he grows out of "where is daddy, is daddy in the room? can daddy read me books, can daddy build a Lego castle with me, daddy, daddy, daddy, DADDY!!!!" soon.
Lee and I have a date tonight...going to try a place downtown. So, unlike Wyatt's scientific observation...11 years after the wedding I still like him AND he's still alive!!

The Notebook

It seems like a few years ago we were 19, a couple of weeks ago we had our 1st child, a few days ago we had another baby. In the middle of this time we've moved a few dozen times, cried a bit, grown together, had some great fights, and laughed more than anything. It all seems like a blur and when I look back it goes by so fast it's like I thought I blinked and here we are.

I'm really not good with keeping up with journals...a few years/months ago I bought a pretty little notebook and thought I would fill it quotes, funny things that would happen, or little things the kids would say.
Here is what's in the notebook...

100 things about me
1. I like pretty things but am not girly
2. I'm not the best speller
3. I'm a nail picker and can't stop
4. Aside from #3 I don't have an addictive personality

Seriously.

I'm going to give this blog things a try, it's already better than my notebook...and if I don't take this opportunity to remember our lives in words I just might blink and miss it...

**I'm editing this for Lee...he wants all to know he has NEVER cried and our life hasn't been like an article in an issue of O the magazine...He is the editor from HELL.
